Ескалація польсько-українського конфлікту на Люблінщині (вересень 1943 – лютий 1944) (Escalation of Polish-Ukrainian Conflict in Lublin Region (September 1943 – February 1944))

Abstract

Автор звертає увагу на причини та передумови ескалації польсько-українського конфлікту на Люблінщині у вересні 1943 – лютому 1944 рр. Здійснено аналіз позицій польських та українських істориків, що з різних сторін оцінюють протистояння, яке розпочалося з поодиноких вбивств та завершилося масовими чистками населення. У тезах послідовно викладено хід та перебіг подій, вказано місця основних акцій «помсти» від обох ворогуючих сторін. З’ясовано їх вплив на подальший розвиток протистояння між українцями та поляками на завершальному етапі Другої світової війни. (The author draws attention to the reasons and factors of escalation of the conflict between Poland and Ukraine on the territory of Lublin during the period from September 1943 until February 1944. The paper analyses the viewpoints of Polish and Ukrainian historians, who evaluate the struggle, which began with singular murders and ended with a huge ethnic cleansing of the population. The article consecutively presents the course of events and specifies the places of the main acts of “revenge” from both opposing parties. The author defines their influence on the further development of the conflict between the Ukrainians and the Poles on the final stage of the Second World War.
