Попаді, поповичі, попівни як учасники судових процесів (за матеріалами книг духовного суду Перемишльської єпархії кінця XVII – першої половини XVIII ст.) (The priest’s wives, popoviches and popivnes as participants of litigations (based on the materials od spiritual Court of the Dioceseod Przemysl at the end of 17 – the first half of 18 century)

Abstract

У статті здійснено спробу дослідити родини парафіяльних священиків на основі матеріалів Перемишльського духовного суду кінця XVII – першої половини XVIII ст. У роботі проаналізовано судові процеси, учасниками яких були попаді, поповичі і попівни. З’ясовано рівень і стан матеріального забезпечення священичих сімей за даними книг протоколів єпископського суду. (In this article was made an attempt to explore the families of priests, based on the materials of spiritual Court at the end of 17 – the first half of 18 century. In this research work were analysed trials, the members of what were priest’s wives, popoviches and popivnes. The existing source material allows to distinguish some types of cases in which members of priestly families featured as one of the parties of the dispute. At the episcopal court were considered cases about adultery, witchcraft, participation of popoviches and popivnes in various conflicts. In the research work were finded out the level and the status of financial providing of the families of the priests according to judicial materials. The main attention is paid to the problems that awaited family of priest in case of his death, and the peculiarities of the institute of «year of grace» in the Church of the Eastern Rite.
