Abstract
The Authors administered Bendaline, the lysine salt of phenylmethyl - indazolyloxyacetic acid, by the oral route in 45 patients with pre-senile and senile cataract, at the dose of a tablet (500 mg) three times daily for 12 months.
75 eyes assessed for correct visual acuity showed: 16 (21%) improvement, 55 (73%) no change and 4 (5,3%) worsening.
The Authors conclude for a positive therapeutic effect of the drug in cataract
