Climatic changes have led to an increased need for development of green energy and subsequent use of areas for such development, areas that historically have been used by Sami reindeer herders as grazing areas for their animals. Parallel to this, climatic changes and development of new technology, has, and will most likely continue to affect and change the traditional way of herding reindeer.
