This study was conducted to understand the current status of information technology application in the safe production of pennywort by farmers. Research information was collected from interviews with 60 households growing safe pennywort, in-depth interviews with knowledgeable people and group discussions. The study uses descriptive statistical methods to evaluate the level of use of information technology means, effectiveness of use, willingness to pay of farmers and barriers. Research shows that smartphones are a popular and effective means of information technology in promoting households' access to digital agricultural services. Exchanging information via text messages, calling via SIM card and zalo are services that farmers evaluate as very effective in safe pennywort production. Survey results also show that farmers fear of risks, difficulty in reading and writing messages and using utilities are the main barriers. On that basis, the study has made recommendations to improve the effectiveness of access and use of information technology in the context of the economy entering the digital era.Nghiên cứu này thực hiện nhằm tìm hiểu thực trạng ứng dụng công nghệ thông tin trong sản xuất rau má an toàn của nông hộ. Thông tin nghiên cứu được thu thập từ phỏng vấn 60 hộ trồng rau má an toàn, phỏng vấn sâu người am hiểu và thảo luận nhóm. Nghiên cứu sử dụng phương pháp thống kê mô tả để đánh giá mức độ sử dụng các phương tiện công nghệ thông tin, hiệu quả sử dụng, sự sẵn sàng chi trả của nông hộ và các rào cản. Nghiên cứu cho thấy rằng điện thoại thông minh là phương tiện công nghệ thông tin phổ biến và hiệu quả trong thúc đẩy hộ tiếp cận các dịch vụ nông nghiệp số. Trao đổi thông tin qua tin nhắn, gọi điện qua sim và zalo là các dịch vụ được nông hộ đánh giá rất hiệu quả trong hoạt động sản xuất rau má an toàn. Kết quả khảo sát cũng cho thấy rằng nông hộ sợ rủi ro, khó khăn trong đọc, viết tin nhắn và sử dụng các tiện ích (Apps) là các rào cản chính. Trên cơ sở đó nghiên cứu đã đưa ra các khuyến nghị nhằm nâng cao hiệu quả tiếp cận và sử dụng công nghệ thông tin trong bối cảnh nền kinh tế bước vào kỷ nguyên số
