In almost every society, there are individuals who analyze and foresee what is not seen by others. It is clear that these personalities with religious, philosophical and political objectives are also present in Kyrgyz society. Kaligul Bay Uulu, one of these wise personalities, is known as a poet who lived just before the Russian occupation and tried to reflect the socio-cultural characteristics of the period in his poems. The poet, who lived at a time when the era changed, was known as the first representative of the "time of sorrow poetry" in Kyrgyz literature. Time of sorrow poems are also called "End of the World" poems. The emergence of this kind of poetry was caused by the Russian invasion gradually spreading to Turkestan. Intellectuals, who were aware that the social disasters that happen to the neighboring Kazaks, Tatars were also a concern for their nation, wanted to warn the public. Kaligul\u27s "Akir Zaman" poem wisely depicts the social life that will change with the Russian occupation, the deterioration of the traditional family order and the influence of the nation in different religions and languages. After briefly mentioning the life of Kaligul Bay Uulu, who is the argue of religious and moral values in Kyrgyz society and describe the end time of world in his poems, we will emphasize the importance of these poems in religious education and ethnopedagogical terms.Hemen her toplumda başkaları tarafından görülmeyeni erken tahlil edip öngören şahsiyetler yaşamıştır. Dinî, felsefî ve siyasî amaçları olan bu şahsiyetlerin Kırgız toplumunda da mevcut olduğu aşikârdır. Bu bilge şahsiyetlerin biri olan Kalıgul Bay Uulu Rus işgali döneminden hemen önce yaşamış, dönemin sosyo-kültürel özelliklerini şiirlerinde yansıtmaya çalışan şair olarak tanınmaktadır. Devrin değiştiği bir dönemde yaşayan şair Kırgız edebiyatındaki “zamane şiiri”nin ilk temsilcisi olarak bilinmektedir. Zamane şiirlerine “ahır zaman” şiirleri de denilmektedir. Bu şiir türünün ortaya çıkmasına Rus işgalinin giderek Türkistan’a yayılması neden olmuştur. Komşu Kazak, Tatarların başına gelen toplumsal felaketlerin kendi ulusu için de endişe teşkil ettiğinin farkında olan aydın şairler halkı bu konuda uyarmak istemişlerdir. Kalıgul\u27un “Akır Zaman” şiiri, Rusların bölgeyi işgal etmesiyle birlikte değişecek sosyal hayatı, geleneksel aile düzeninin bozulmasını, farklı dindeki, dildeki milletin halka tesirini bilgelik ile tasvir etmektedir. Kırgız toplumundaki dini ve ahlaki değerleri şiirlerinde konu edinen Kalıgul Bay Uulu’nun hayatına ve şiirlerindeki ahir zaman tasvirlerine kısaca değindikten sonra, din eğitimi ve etnopedagojik açıdan bu şiirlerin önemi üzerine durulacaktır
