A procedure of "in vitro" propagation of Rhamnus frangula L. was developed. Best proliferation results were obtained on MS media with 1 mg/l BA without auxin. The easy production of callus on appropriate media was also demonstrated. The addition of a low level of IBA (0.1-0.25 mg/l) induced the best rooting.
