O estudo em questão apresenta uma análise acerca da utilização da Arte/Educação como um dos mecanismos para a promoção da igualdade racial. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa tem como objetivo geral desenvolver um quadro teórico que possibilite pensar a Arte/Educação como um mecanismo potente para a promoção da igualdade racial. E, adota como objetivos específicos: a) Delinear um quadro teórico acerca do ensino da Arte na Educação Infantil; b) Apresentar uma discussão conceitual no que se refere a inclusão da História e Cultura Afrobrasileira e Africana nos documentos que norteiam a educação e c) Investigar como a Arte/Educação pode contribuir para a promoção da igualdade racial. Metodologicamente, o estudo apresenta os moldes da pesquisa teórico-bibliográfica de cunho qualitativo documental, sendo a área de abrangência a área da Educação, mais especificamente o eixo temático da Diversidade, Diferença e Desigualdade Social. Do estudo empreendido, conclui-se que a Arte/Educação, se bem trabalhada, pode contribuir significativamente para a promoção da igualdade racial nas escolas, formando assim, cidadãos críticos, sensíveis, capazes de viver em sociedade e conscientes de seus direitos e deveres.

ABSTRACT
The study in question presents an analysis of the use of Art/Education as one of the mechanisms for promoting racial equality. In this sense, the general objective of the research is to develop a general objective that makes it possible to think of Art/Education as a powerful mechanism for the promotion of racial equality. And, it adopts as specific objectives: a) Outlining a theoretical framework about the teaching of Art in Early Childhood Education; b) Present a conceptual discussion regarding the inclusion of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture in the documents that guide education and c) Investigate how Art/Education can contribute to the promotion of racial equality. Methodologically, the study presents the molds of bibliographic theoretical research of a qualitative documental nature, the area of coverage being the area of Education, more specifically the thematic axis of Diversity, Difference and Social Inequality. From the study carried out, it is concluded that Art/Education, if well worked, can contribute significantly to the promotion of racial equality in schools, thus forming critical, sensitive citizens, capable of living in society and aware of their rights and duties.
