Abstract

Regulation (EC) No 199/2008 establishes a Community framework for the collection, management and use of data for the purpose of establishing a solid basis for scientific analyses of fisheries and for providing the formulation of sound scientific advice for the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP). This document describes the National Basic Data Collection Programme related to the CECAF Programme, carried out by the Instituto Español de Oceanografía. It presents the methodology of monitoring and evaluation on the fleet fishing in this area (cephalopods, small pelagic, hakes and crustacean) and it has been made in accordance with the provisions of Council Regulation No (EC) 199/2008, Commission Regulation (EC) No 665/2008 and Commission Decision 949/2008/EC
