Abstract
In the article I discuss the problem of the defense of realism based on biological monadism – a philosophical system developed by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz. I describe it as a bodily realism, because it is the body supposed to be the key to solving one of the main philosophical problems – the controversy between realism and idealism. I discuss the status of the body in Witkiewicz’s philosophy and his arguments for ontological realism.W artykule omawiam problem obrony realizmu na gruncie monadyzmu biologicznego – systemu filozoficznego, który rozwijał Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz. Określam to stanowisko jako realizm cielesny, bo to właśnie cielesność miała być kluczem do rozwiązania jednego z głównych problemów filozoficznych – kontrowersji między realizmem a idealizmem. Omawiam status ciała w filozofii Witkiewicza i jego argumentację na rzecz realizmu ontologicznego
