Bu çalışmada medrese âlimlerinden Molla Fahreddin Batmanî ve Durratu’s-Sadef adlı eseri üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu çalışma giriş, iki bölüm ve sonuçtan meydana gelmektedir. Girişte çalışmanın amacı, yöntemi konusu, kapsamı hakkında bilgi verildi. Ayrıca Arap gramerinin doğuşu ve gelişimi, Nahiv ilminde telif geleneği ve medreseler hakkında kısa ve öz bilgiler anlatıldı. Birinci bölümde Molla Fahreddin’in hayatı, eserleri, ilmî ve tasavvufî yönü işlendi. İkinci bölümde ise Durratu’s-Sadef adlı eser detaylı bir şekilde incelendi. Öncelikle bu eserin adı, yazılış amacı, muhtevası vb. genel konular incelendi. Daha sonra Durratu’s-Sadef’te getirilen istişhatlar, takip edilen metot, kullanılan ıstılahlar, yapılan tanımlar, verilen örnekler, ta’lil, ve istifade edilen kaynaklar detaylı bir şekilde tahlil edilmiştir. Sonuçta ise, Durratu’s-sadef adlı eserin bütün harfleri ihtiva eden ve onların farklı yönlerini inceleyen, bol istişhad ve örnekler sunan, Kur’ân ayetlerinden çok istifade eden bir eser olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Molla Fahreddin hakkındaki bilgilerin bir kısmı öğrenci ve çocukları ile yüz yüze görüşme yoluyla; bir kısmı ise kaynaklardan istifade edilerek elde edilmiştir. Durratu’s-Sadef ‘in gramer açısından incelenmesi ise, diğer Nahiv kaynakları ile karşılaştırılarak yapılmıştır.This study focuses on the madrasa scholars Molla Fahreddin Batmanî and his work named Durratu's-Sadef. This study consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, the aim of the study, its method and the scope of the study were provided. In addition, short and concise information about madrasahs and the emerging and development of Arabic grammar, the tradition of copyright in the science of Nahiv were provided. In the first chapter, Molla Fahreddin's life, works, his scientific and mystical aspects were explained. In the second chapter, the work entitled Durratu's-Sadef was examined in detail. The general topics regarding this work like its title, the purpose of writing it and its content were provided. Then, the witnesses in Durratu's-Sadef, the method followed, the terms used, the definitions made, the examples given, the deduction and the used references were analyzed in detail. In the conclusion chapter, it was revealed that the work entitled Durratu's-Sadef is a work that contains all the letters and examines their different aspects, offers plenty of witnesses and examples, and makes great use of the verses of the Qur'an. Some of the information about Molla Fahreddin was collected through face-to-face interviews with students and his children, and some of the information was obtained by using some references. The grammatical analysis of Durratu's-Sadef was made by comparing it with other Nahiv sources
