In-depth hermeneutics and its significance for psychotherapy research: Interpretation groups and areas of application at the Sigmund Freud Private University
Die Tiefenhermeneutik stellt eine qualitative Forschungsmethode für die Analyse von Datenmaterial dar. Sie ist in der kritischen Theorie, der Psychoanalyse und der Sozialpsychologie verankert. In Gruppensitzungen wird in intensiven Interpretationsprozessen latenter und manifester Inhalt von Datenmaterial erarbeitet und in einen gesellschaftlichen Kontext gesetzt. An der Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität gibt es drei Gruppen, die sich regelmäßig für die tiefenhermeneutische Analyse von Daten aus Forschungsprojekten und Abschlussarbeiten treffen: Eine in Wien, eine in Linz und eine Online-Gruppe. Der Beitrag stellt die tiefenhermeneutische Arbeitsweise sowie die Besonderheiten der einzelnen Gruppen aus der Perspektive der Gründungspersonen vor.In-depth hermeneutics is a qualitative research method for analyzing data. It is anchored in critical theory, psychoanalysis, and social psychology. In intensive interpretation processes in group sessions, latent and manifest content of data material is compiled and socially contextualized. There are currently three groups at the Sigmund Freud Private University that meet regularly for the in-depth hermeneutic analysis of data from research projects and theses: One in Vienna, one in Linz and an online group. The article presents the working methods of in-depth hermeneutics as well as the conceptualization and orientations of the groups by their founders
