The purpose of this article is to present the situation of 19th century graphic art on the art market in contemporary Poland. The main part of the article is devoted to a discussion of the significance of prints presenting Polish urban landscapes and sights for the 19th century Polish art and culture. That period was characterised by a huge development in modern graphic techniques which consequently led to an increased popularity of prints and etchings depicting Polish monuments.
