W artykule scharakteryzowano budowę geologiczną i rzeźbę terenu, a także przedstawiono najatrakcyjniejsze obiekty geoturystyczne z tego terenu (wychodnie skalne, formy skałkowe, wodospady, jaskinie itp.). Obiekty zaprezentowano, grupując je pod względem położenia geograficznego i uwzględniając: masyw Babiej Góry, Kotlinę Orawską, pasmo Policy, Pasmo Jałowieckie z Czeretnikami, Dolinę Skawy, grupę Żurawnicy, grupę Łamanej Skały oraz Wzgórze Lanckorońskie.
