Social Sciences, evangelicals and politics. A reading on the scientific production about evangelical political participation in democratic life in Argentina (1983-2010)

Abstract

La presente comunicación comprende una lectura de la literatura científica acerca del fenómeno evangélico en Argentina y su intervención política en la era democrática (1983-2010), reconstruyendo las líneas argumentales y aportes conceptuales de las tesis y libros más relevantes en el abordaje de esta temática. El trabajo procura identificar los denominadores comunes y puntos de diferenciación que atraviesan los trabajos históricos, sociológicos y antropológicos analizados, como así también las perspectivas de investigación que enriquecen el espacio de conocimiento sobre la participación de actores evangélicos en el mundo de la política. Finalmente el estudio da cuenta de la producción reciente de investigaciones centradas en la inserción de actores evangélicos en la esfera pública y/o partidaria, y del diálogo que las mismas establecen con estudios precedentes.The present communication involves the reading of the scientific literature on the evangelical phenomena in Argentina and its intervention in the democratic era (1983-2010), reconstructing the argumentative lines and conceptual contributions of the most relevant thesis and books on this topic. This work intends to indentify the common denominators and differential points that characterize the historical, sociological and anthropological researches, as well as the investigative perspectives that enrich the knowledge of the participation of evangelical actors in the political words. Finally, the study accounts for the recent production of investigations focused on the insertion of evangelical actors in the political and/or political party sphere, and the connection that can be held between these investigations and former studies.Fil: Carbonelli, Marcos Andres.
