  SuperDARN北海道-陸別 HFレーダーで見た大磁気嵐時における SAPS現象の特性  西谷望、寺本万里子、SuperDARN北海道-陸別 HFレーダーグループ 名古屋大学太陽地球環境研究所   Dynamics of Sub-Auroral Polarization Streams observed by the SuperDARN Hokkaido radar during large geomagnetic storms  Nozomu Nishitani, Mariko Teramoto, and SuperDARN Hokkaido radar group Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory, Nagoya University   In this paper we report on the observation of Sub Auroral Polarization Streams (SAPS) observed by the SuperDARN Hokkaido radar during large geomagnetic storms (minimum Dst < -100 nT). The latitudinal changes of high speed (>~ 1000  m/s) SAPS positions with high temporal resolution (< 1 min) will be studied with main focus on the dependences on substorms and storms.   SuperDARN北海道-陸別 HFレーダーは 2006年 11月の稼働開始後約 6年が経過しており、磁気緯度にして約 40-80度にわたる領域における 2次元電離圏電場変動を高時間分解能(1-2 min)で観測し続けている。オーロラ帯より低緯度で発生する高速電離圏対流で有名なものに Sub Auroral Polarization Stream (SAPS)があるが、ここ数年の太陽活動の低調な状況により、SAPSの内高速な(>~ 1 km/s)電離圏対流を伴うものは大部分 60度以上の領域に限られていた。  今年(2012年)に入り、3月や 7月のような大きな(Minimum Dst < -100 nT)磁気嵐が発生するようになり、これに伴い SAPS高速流も 55度以下の領域まで低緯度に拡大していることが SuperDARN北海道-陸別 HFレーダーにより観測された。本研究では、上記の大きな磁気嵐時に観測された SAPS高速流の詳細な動態を調べた結果について報告する。特に SAPSの緯度については stormや substormにより大きく影響を受けるという過去の研究がいくつかあるが、低高度衛星等を使用した研究では時間分解能が非常に限られていた。本研究では最低でも 1分の分解能をもつ SuperDARN レーダーのデータを活用し、詳細なパラメータ依存性を調べた結果について報告する予定である。   Figure 1. Beam 10 is in the eastern field of view of the radar, and Beam 4 is in the western field of view. Intense (~> 1000 m/s) westward flow (corresponding to blue color region) was observed in these beams between 07 and 11 UT, which reached its lowest geomagnetic latitude at 52 degrees, whereas the negative peak in the Dst index (= -133 nT) was recorded between 08 and 09 UT.
