  X 線回折法によるドームふじ氷床コアの氷の構造に関する研究  堀 彰 1、宮本 淳 2、本堂武夫 2 1 北見工業大学 2 北海道大学低温科学研究所  X-ray diffraction study on the structure of the ice of the Dome Fuji ice core  Akira Hori1, Atsushi Miyamoto2 and Takeo Hondoh2 1Kitami Institute of Technology 2Institute of Low Temperature Science, Hokkaido University   We carried out X-ray diffraction measurements for several ice samples taken between 577m and 3025 m depths of the Dome Fuji ice cores, Antarctica, to investigate the strucutral feature of the ice crystals of the Dome Fuji ice core. We obtained  the rocking curves of several reflections and the lattice constants a and c from the measurements on these ice samples. Several peaks attributed to subgrains were observed in each grain of  rocking curves of several reflections  section samples in the rocking curves. Both lattice constants a and c were larger than those of the ice crystal prepared in the labolatory. However, the depth dependence was different ; the c decresed with the increasing depth while the a slightly increased or remained to be almost constant.  ドームふじ氷床コアの氷は、過去数十万年にわたる地球の気候および環境の変動に関する情報を含む貴重な氷であると同時に、長い年月をかけて物理的過程を経た特殊な氷であり，通常の氷とは異なる特徴を持つ可能性がある。そこで、本件研究では、X 線回折法により、ドームふじ氷床コアの氷の構造を調べ、その特徴を明らかにすることを目的とする。 測定には、ドームふじ氷床コアの深さ 577m から 3025ｍまでほぼ 400ｍ毎の試料から切り出した薄片試料を用いた。各薄片試料に対して、結晶組織の偏光写真測定とラウエ法による方位測定を行った後、各々の薄片試料から 5～10 個の結晶粒を選び、X 線回折測定としてロッキングカーブ測定および格子定数測定を行った。 ロッキングカーブ測定では、ほとんどの試料において測定プロファイルに複数個のピークが観測された。各ピークは個々の結晶粒に含まれる結晶方位がわずかに異なる亜結晶粒に対応する。このような亜結晶粒は、氷床の流動に伴う氷結晶の塑性変形の過程で導入された転位が再配列し、新たな結晶粒界（亜結晶粒界）を形成することにより生じたものである。個々のピークの幅はそこに含まれる転位の密度を反映しており、ピーク幅を解析して得られた転位密度の深さ依存性を調べると、概ね深さとともに減少する傾向が見られた。この傾向は Vostok 深層コアの場合と同じであった。一般に塑性変形で導入された転位は高い温度でアニールすることにより消滅して転位密度は減少するが、上記の結果は、深い氷ほど氷床中で高い温度で長い時間保持されたために、より多くの転位の消滅が起こったためと考えられる。  格子定数の測定では、個々の結晶粒に対して少なくとも 4 つ以上の異なる格子面間隔を行い、六方晶の氷の a 軸およびｃ軸の格子定数 a、ｃ を求めた。a、ｃ とも概ね実験室で作製した氷に比べて格子定数は大きかった。しかしながら、両者の深さ依存性は異なり、a は深さが深くなるとともに増加するのに対し、ｃ は深さが深くなるとともに減少した。このような違いは氷床中の氷結晶の結晶 c 軸方位が深さが深くなるとともにコア軸方向にそろってくることと関連していると考えてきた。しかしながら、個々の結晶粒の格子定数 a、c と結晶 c 軸方位との関係を調べると、両者に明確な相関は見られず、格子定数 a、cの深さ依存性の違いが生じる原因は不明である。                                                         Figure 1 ドームふじ深層コア（深さ 2624m）の氷結晶の(10-12)反射のロッキングカーブ． Figure 2 ドームふじ深層コアの氷結晶の格子定数の平均値の深さ依存性．実線および破線は実験室氷の格子定数とその誤差．
