Toward an education in values that respond to the challenges of today's society: the case of the CEIP Juan Ramón Jiménez

Abstract

Se nos hace inviable concebir un mundo sin valores y la indudable importancia que estos tienen en nuestro día a día. Los problemas que nos rodean requieren cada vez más una formación ética de la persona, por lo que es necesario tener como prioridad educar en valores a nuestro alumnado, contribuyendo a que construyan una moral cada vez más autónoma. Nos hemos valido para nuestro estudio, de la metodología cualitativa, concretamente en la entrevista semiestructurada, realizada al total del profesorado que imparte educación infantil en el centro objeto de estudio. Para el análisis de los resultados, empleamos el programa Atlas.ti. Entre las principales conclusiones destacan la necesidad de una mayor planificación en el trabajo de los valores en el aula, una mayor reflexión crítica de las actuaciones del profesorado, así como una nula participación familiar en la formación moral del alumnado.We makes it unfeasible conceive a world without values and the undoubted importance that these have on our day to day. The problems that surround us increasingly require ethics training of the person, therefore it is necessary to have priority in values to educate our students, helping to build a moral increasingly autonomous. We have used for our study, qualitative methodology, specifically in the semistructured interview, the total of the teachers who taught child education in the center object of study. For the analysis of the results, we use the Atlas.ti. Among the major findings highlight the need for more planning in the work of the values in the classroom, a greater critical reflection of the actions of faculty, as well as a zero family participation in the moral formation of the students
