Searching for horizontality: key variables and converging methodologies in the “Art D Kambi” project. A proposal for the creation of glocal participatory communication projects

Abstract

A partir de la cronología del proyecto “Art d Kambi: Teatro para la cre-acción colectiva Cuba-BCN”, se reflexiona acerca de diversas metodologías de comunicación participativa. Entendiendo los aspectos positivos y limitaciones de los modelos existentes, y basados en la práctica del caso de estudio, se proporciona un marco conceptual, un modelo de planificación y herramientas de análisis de proyectos. En general, se realiza un acercamiento a conceptos y herramientas de utilidad para el desarrollo de iniciativas interculturales contra-hegemónicas.Using the chronology of the project “Art d Kambi: Theatre for Collective Co-creation in Cuba- BCN”, we reflect upon diverse participatory communication methodologies. Understanding the positives aspects and limitations of the existing models, and based on the practice of the case study, we provide a conceptual framework and a model for the planning and analysis of these projects. Generally speaking, we intend to provide concepts and tools that might be useful for the development of counter-hegemonic intercultural initiatives
