Nova Southeastern University began using an Early Alert System in fall 2010 under the auspices of the Office of Undergraduate Student Success (OUSS). One component of the alert system allows faculty members to share comments describing student challenges as related to academics or attendance. To date, OUSS has collected and categorized more than 4500 comments from faculty.
