la franja de edad de la poblaci?n m?s expuesta a la violencia, ya sea como v?ctimas o como agentes, el acoso escolar, en la actualidad ha sido objeto de m?ltiples investigaciones, intervenciones y pol?ticas p?blicas encaminadas a prevenir en la l?nea de educaci?n Para prevenir la violencia escolar.
Objetivo: Caracterizar la violencia escolar entre pares, en estudiantes de los grados sexto a noveno de una instituci?n educativa p?blica del ?rea urbana del municipio del
L?bano 2014, que permita la orientaci?n y el dise?o de pol?ticas p?blicas para la prevenci?n e intervenci?n del evento.
Metodolog?a: Se llev? a cabo un estudio epidemiol?gico observacional, descriptivo, transversal, en un colegio del L?bano Tolima, con una muestra aleatoria de la poblaci?n
estudiantil, tom?ndose como referencia una prevalencia del 23,4% con un nivel de confianza del 95% y un error m?ximo del 5%, Para la estrategia de muestro se utiliz? la base de datos de la secretaria de educaci?n del Tolima del ?rea de cobertura,
quedando una muestra de 118 estudiantes.
Resultados: Se evidencia como de manera significativa las mujeres son m?s dadas a actitudes violentas que los hombres y tambi?n una marcada disminuci?n de la autopercepci?n de v?ctima en la medida en que aumentaba la edad del menor sin
distinci?n de sexo, dichos resultados coinciden con estudios propios de la regi?n.
Conclusiones: Las formas violencia entre pares encontrada en la instituci?n donde se desarroll? la investigaci?n coincide con las encontradas en otras instituciones de Colombia y Suram?rica en cuanto a distribuci?n por sexo, edades, grado cursado y

Introduction: For most of the children in Latin America and the Caribbean, the school is the space where they spend a lot of time in their daily lives. In Latin America, it is estimated that adolescents between 15 and 24 years, are the age of the population most exposed to violence, either as victims or perpetrators, bullying, today has undergone multiple investigations, interventions and public policies aimed at preventing online education in order to prevent school violence.
Objective: To characterize school violence among peers, students in grades six through nine of a public educational institution of the urban area of Lebanon 2014, allowing the orientation and design of public policies for the prevention and intervention of the event.
Methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional epidemiological study in a school of Lebanon Tolima, with a random sample of the student population was performed, taking as reference a prevalence of 23.4% with a confidence level of 95% and a maximum error of 5%, the strategy for sampling database of Tolima education secretary coverage area was used, leaving a sample of 118 students.
Results: The evidence as significantly women are more given to violent attitudes than men and also a marked decrease in self-perceived victim insofar increasing age of the child regardless of sex, these results are consistent with our own studies region.
Conclusions: The peer violence forms found in the institution where the research was conducted in line with those found in other institutions in Colombia and South America in terms of sex distribution, age, grade completed and other.INTRODUCCION
