FROM THE HISTORY OF THE STUDY OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL MONUMENTS
ON THE TERRITORY OF BASIN OF THE SHCHARA RIVER /
A. MAKSIMOVICHДаследуецца гісторыя археалагічных помнікаў эпохі Сярэднявечча на тэрыторыі басейна ракі Шчары. Вылучаны чатыры этапы ў вывучэнні рэгіёна: канец XIX – пач. ХХ ст.; 1920–40-е гг.; 1950–70-е гг.; 1980-е – пач. ХХI ст. У рамках кожнага з этапаў разгледжана дзейнасць асноўных даследнікаў (Ф.У. Па-кроўскі, Ф.Д. Гурэвіч, Я.Г. Звяруга, У.Г. Супрун, А.У. Квяткоўская і інш.). Дана адзнака стану даследа-ванняў (наяўнасць складзенай крыніцазнаўчай базы, шэрагу гіпотэз аб этнічным складзе насельніцтва, эканамічным і культурным развіцці рэгіёна); складзена карта вядомых помнікаў (каля 160, з іх 9 дасле-давана раскопкамі); вызначаны актуальныя праблемы: праверка і ўдакладненне наяўных гіпотэз, дасле-даванне сістэмы рассялення, а таксама шляхі іх магчымага рашэння – археалагічнае даследаванне з прыцягненнем метадаў сумежных навук. = The article is devoted to the history of the research of Medieval archaeological monuments on the territory of basin of the Shchara river. Four stages in studying of the region are distinguished: 1) the end of XIX – the beginning of XX cent.; 2) 1920–1940s; 3) 1950–1970s; 4) 1980s – the beginning of XXI cent. Within the confines of each stage the activities of the leading researchers are reviewed (F.V. Pokrovskiy, F.D. Gurevich,
J.G. Zverugo, V.G. Suprun, A.V. Kvyatkovskaya, etc.). The evaluation of the research state is given (availability of the source base, hypotheses about ethnic structure of the population, economic and cultural development of the region), the discovered monuments are mapped (about 160, 9 of them were investigated by excavations), actual problems (check and specification of the existing hypotheses, research of the settlement system) and its possible solutions are defined (archaeological research with attraction of the methods of interdisciplinary sciences)
