Openbite is defined as the malocclusion with no contact in the anterior region of dental arches,TAD’s provides anchorage without relying on patient compliance, eliminates the need for headgear, reduces treatment duration, and can be easily placed and removed.TAD’s are particularly advantageous as they can be used in patients of any age.METHODOLOGYRESULTSINTRODUCTION/BACKGROUNDTAD’S ERA OF ORTHODONTICS : A CASE SERIES Arunkumar R , Prema Anbarasu , Saravanakumar S,Chettinad Dental College and Research Institute, Affiliated to Tn Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai The traditional methods of posterior intrusion for correcting anterior open bite have significant drawbacks, such as a high tendency for relapse and aesthetic compromise due to anterior extrusion. The introduction of Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) has overcome these disadvantages.
