A key figure of photography in mid-twentieth Gaza, KeghamDjeghalian Sr (1915-1981) documented the people and the cityfor nearly four decades. A survivor of the Armenian genocide,he founded Gaza’s first professional photography studio, PhotoKegham, in 1944.
