La Inversión Extranjera Directa y su Impacto Económico en el Perú Periodo 1993 - 2013

Abstract

This article analyzes and estimates the economic impact of the foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Peruvian economy between the years 1993-2013. That way, it was used a descriptive statistical analysis and vectors error correction models (VEC) at the macroeconomic level to examine the interrelationship between FDI flows on economic growth, employment and exports. The main results suggest that there is a long-run relationship between the variables. Therefore, an increase of FDI would reflect a positive and consistent behavior on the variations in economic growth, employment and exports
