Abstract

The economic activities and the ever-increasing needs for resources put the world in a position to discover urgently a path towards sustainable development. To achieve this aim the environmental policies and innovative approaches are crucial. Eco-innovations are key element in EU sustainable growth strategy. Based on that, the report reviews and evaluates the activities of the Bulgarian SMEs in the development and implementation of new innovative technologies in the last 3 years based on the results of a survey among 135 companies with working environment management system under ISO 14001 or EMAS
