By taking metrical geometry as a case-study and Coffa's interpretation (developed in his influential "Kant and Russell") as a target, I attempt to show that, far from being severed from the concrete development of the mathematical sciences, the true meaning of Russell's logicism stands out only against a refined description of the contemporary mathematical practices
