Regional Finacial Support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. Empirical Comperative Analysis of Lesser Poland and Silesia Regions

Abstract

The practice shows that small and medium-sized enterprises have large difficulties in gaining funding from external sources for their development. These enterprises are strongly anchored in their regional environment, thus analysis of financial support is especially essential on a regional level. The aim of the paper is the empirical verification of the influence of a degree of accessibility capital and financial support in a region on development of small and medium-sized enterprises. The research was conducted on a random sample of 109 enterprises from of Małopolska and Śląsk, which makes one region according to NUTS -1 nomenclature.small and medium-sized enterprises, business environment, financial support
