 Report prepared by Jere Odell, IUPUI University Library Center for Digital Scholarship (June 15, 2016)  IUPUI Open Access Publishing Fund – Report July 2013 – June 2015 The IUPUI Open Access Fund underwrites reasonable publication charges for articles published in fee-based, peer-reviewed journals that are openly accessible. This fund addresses changes in scholarly communications while increasing the impact of and access to scholarship created by IUPUI faculty. The Fund was established in 2013 as a two-year pilot. This report shares the outcomes of that initial implementation of the Fund. A second two-year implementation of the Fund is now in progress.  Financial support for the 2013-2015 OA Publishing Fund was provided by key stakeholders on the campus including the IUPUI University Library, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, IU School of Dentistry, and the Robert H. McKinney School of Law. As a pilot, the funds ($47,000) were spent across a two year period (2013-2015). Fund stakeholders requested that the disbursement methods should encourage diverse participation across schools.
