The master of ceremonies will be Craig Roberts, a well-known local television and radio personality. Four upscale Houston restaurants will provide a sumptuous buffet. Fine wines and champagne will also be served. Valet parking will be provided.  The Friends of the Texas Medical Center Library are privileged and honored to celebrate the global contributions of Dr. Cooley and Dr. Duke. RefWorks "Classic" will be replaced by RefWorks 2.0 on December 31, 2011. If you haven't used RefWorks recently or if you haven't had the opportunity to investigate the new interface, you may check the following video:  http://www.refworks-cos.com/refworks/rwpreview/RefWorks_New_UI_demo.htm  Some of the changes with the new interface are:   A new Write'n'Cite interface will be released with RefWorks 2.0. You can preview this interface by visiting the link: http://www.refworks.com/refworks2/writencite4.htm  A Group Code will no longer be needed for access, once you have set up your RefWorks account.   To access RefWorks via RefMobile you will be able to use your personal login and to use all components of RefWorks, whether you happen to be on or off campus.  In order to implement the change, RefWorks advises customers that a very few personal logins may need to be changed.  This only applies to you if you have used the same login for multiple accounts. If you need assistance with login problems e-mail RefWorks support at: support@refworks.com. We would like to remind you that through the generosity of the provider, ProQuest, the one database you can continue to use when you leave the Texas Medical Center is RefWorks. If you have already been a user of RefWorks through The TMC Library’s subscription, you have lifetime complementary access. Do you need a particular leisure book or novel? Simply select the materials you want in the HCPL catalog at www.hcpl.net, place a request using your HCPL library card, and the items will be delivered to the TMC Library. You will receive a notification by e-mail or phone and have one week to pick them up.  If you would just like to browse, the library has a small collection of books for adults, children and teens available on site. If you don’t have a HCPL library card, you can apply for one online at: http://www.hcpl.net/about/library-cards or at The TMC Library.  Library cards are free to residents of the state of Texas with proof of mailing address and three-month visitor cards are available for non-Texas residents. The HCPL has an extensive collection of e-Books and e-Audios.
