Aunty\u27s Jubilee

Abstract

[Verse 1] We dressed up in our very best we jumped into the sleigh Off to Aunty’s jubilee with hearts so light and gay We romped we pranced we ate we danced we cut the fancy swing Then we gathered in the parlor and we all began to sing. [Chorus] Oh the sun shines bright in my old Kentuckey home all the guest did sweetly sing, Merrily we roll along, roll along, roll along our voices loud did ring In the evening by the moonlight we would sit all night and listen just as happy as could be And we won\u27t go home until morning from our Aunty’s jubilee. [Verse 2] We were a jolly party and they came from far and near Everyone was happy and the moon shone bright and clear We bid goodbye to Aunty dear then off for home again Ev’ry one was singing as we journeyed down the lane. [Chorus 2] Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way what a merry jingleing Way down upon the Swanee river what joy those songs did bring Goodnight ladies one and all we did agree That there’s no place like home sweet home and our Aunty’s jubilee
