Abstract

A computational procedure for UTD radiation pattern of slot antenna on general paraboloid of revolution (GPOR) is presented in this paper. The GPOR radiation pattern problem remained intractable due to its unequal double-curvatured nature. The complexity in performing surface-ray tracing on GPOR is circumvented by employing geodesic constant method (GCM) which yields closed form expressions for all the ray-geometric parameters required in UTD formulation. In order to obtain shedding points, a univariate search is implemented by utilizing surface-ray properties thereby making this problem computationally tractable. The computational results are validated against comparable canonical structure
