The acquisition of electronic publications in Serbia is coordinated and
centralized through the Consortium for coordinated acquisition KoBSON. The
National Library of Serbia and University Library "Svetozar Marković", as the
institutions with the important experience in acquisition and using of the
electronic resources, consider prerequisites for future new services as
e-books.The preliminary information and experiences – mostly from foreign
publishers and partners - are given in the paper
