The paper reports on participation of the National Library of Serbia (NLS) in
The European Library (TEL) project which is the most important project
carried by the Conference of European National Librarians (CENL). TEL is
a Web service which offers access to combined sources of information held by
45 national libraries: books, journals, newspapers, as well as multimedia both in print and electronic format. In July 2005 CENL decided to accept NLS
as a full partner in the project. Until April 2007 NLS contributed 10 of its
collections and by the end of the year more digital collections of NLS will
be available through TEL portal, according to the precise implementation
plan. The second part of this text particularly deals with realization of
