Information and communication technologies (ict) are having a direct impact in users' information habits as well as in the organization of informative materials within libraries and information centers. Digital format offers the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (unam) a new tool for preservation, conservation and promotion of the numerous theses that are produced every year. A general description of the digital theses as a new service of unam's Biblioteca Central and the usage that this collection is having is presented
