The paper analyzes the kinds of information provided to users of the digital collections contained in the Memòria digital de Catalunya. Criteria to evaluate this information were developed according to ALA and IFLA guidelines for collection policy statements, the bibliography about this topic and from consolidated digital collection projects. The web pages of each collection were analyzed to determine which elements of the collection policies were used to inform users and participating organizations about the history of the digital collection, its subject area and coverage, the materials included, the intended audience, et cetera
