A patent based evaluation of technological innovation capability in eight economic regions in PR China

Abstract

One important indicator of technology innovation capability is the numbers of patents. This paper analyzes the application activities of Chinese patents in the eight economic regions of PR China, covering a time period of 1999-2004. The analysis was classified based on organizations types, subject areas, cooperation and technology distribution.
