The Society for Economic Research on Copyright Issues (SERCI) is a non-profit institution that promotes high quality 
economic research on any issue related to the economic theory of copyright. The annual seminar of SERCI will be 
held in Madrid (Spain) on June 3-4 of 2002. The invited SERCI lecture will be delivered by Prof. Stan Liebowitz 
(Univ. Dallas). A refereed selection of the papers presented at the seminar will be published internationally. Papers on 
any topic, both theoretical and empirical, related to the economics of copyright and cultural intellectual property will be 
considered for inclusion on the programme. Of particular interest are papers concerning the optimal pricing of 
copyright, and the collective management of copyright. To be considered for the programme, please send submissions 
to Richard Watt, either as an e-mail attachment (to richard.watt@uam.es) or by regular mail (Dept. Análisis 
Económico, Fac. C.C.E.E., Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Madrid 28049, SPAIN) before 31 January 2002. 
Successful authors will be notified before 28 February 2002. Submissions may be in any reasonable format, and an 
extended abstract detailing the problem studied, method and expected results is sufficient. Completed versions of 
accepted papers will be required before April 15, 2002.
