The latest seismotectonic data and the development of seismic provisions around the world as well as the need to have a better design procedure, enforcing the Ministry of Public Work of Indonesia to revise the Indonesian Seismic Code, SNI 03-1726-2002. The revision will be based on ASCE 7-10. Although there is no significant improvement in terms of seismic design philosophy, ASCE 7-10 consists of many new provisions involving more detailed calculation compare to SNI 1726-02.
