Intercultural communication in business

Abstract

The bachelor thesis Intercultural communication in business discusses mutual interaction between the Czechs and the Vietnamese in the Czech Republic. The aim of this study is to identify obstacles of mutual interaction of Czechs and Vietnamese, whether there is a communication barrier between them due to cultural differences and, if so, identify them and suggest possible solutions to eliminate problems. The theoretical part is focused on communication, culture, and comparison of the selected countries using Hofstede's 6D model. A crucial part is a survey, which focuses on how mentioned countries perceive one another. On the basis of the results of this survey appropriate recommendations are proposed so as to improve the interaction between studied ethnics
