La migración internacional forzada:una ruptura con los proyectos de vida

Abstract

Este texto está basado en una investigación cualitativa realizada en siete ciudades colombianas sobre los cambios y conflictos que se dan en las familias cuando el padre o la madre migran a otros países y dejan hijos e hijas menores de veinticuatro años en Colombia. El artículo, por un lado, hace una aproximación a las condiciones que genera la migración forzada en Colombia, así como a una serie de preguntas sobre este fenómeno: ¿por qué migran?, ¿cuál es su proceso?... Por otro lado, analiza cómo la inmigración implica una ruptura abrupta con el proyecto construido en el país de origen, pues, al estar exiliado, el individuo pierde su identidad y sus referencias, sin llegar a adoptar las del país al que emigraThe article is based on a qualitative research project carried out in seven Colombian cities regarding the changes and conflicts arising in families when either of the parents migrates to another country, leaving children under the age of 24 in Colombia.
