On the Desirability of Coordinated Supply-side Intervention: Does a Monetary Union Matter?

Abstract

This paper examines the desirability of coordinated supply-side intervention within a monetary union, given the constraints on monetary and fiscal policy. The author considers an economic framework featuring independent monetary policy.
