Abstract

This paper aims to explain the spatial econometric models and analyses these models with the maximum likelihood method. Also in addition to specification tests which belong to spatial models, choosing the best model that represents data is explained. In this context, the vegetable lands used in Turkey in the year of 2006 are considered. In the model, the effect of the neighbourhood to the vegetable plant is investigated. Empirical evidence indicates that there is positive spatial interaction and contiguity neighbour increases the vegetable plant.Spatial Econometrics, Autocorrelation or Dependence, Specification, Moran I, Spatial LM, Spatial Error Model, ML Estimation, Spatial Weight, Vegetables Production Field.
