Abstract

Addressing the question of the document in the visual arts, Bénichou explores Thibault’s multidisciplinary practice (drawing, photography, installation, video), which blends artistic creation with experimental science. The author analyzes the artist’s career since 1995 and shows how she uses scientific documentation in projects that combine biology, fiction and ancient and modern scientific imagery.
