Snow Seen : The Films and Photographs of Michael Snow

Abstract

Positioning Snow's oeuvre within a theoretical context, Cornwell provides an analysis of, and illustrates the inherent relationship between the artist's photographic and film work, focusing on "Wavelength" (1966-67), "" (1968-1969), "La Région centrale" (1970-71) and "Rameau's Nephew" (1972-74). Four appendices include a previously unpublished text (1962-63) by Snow and a description by sequence of "Rameau's Nephew". 19 bibl. ref
