The taxa of the genus Heliophobus Boisduval, 1828 are revised, the majority of formerly described taxa of the genus, H. reticulata (Goeze, 1782), H. unicolor (Alphéraky, 1889), H. kitti (Schawerda, 1914), H. texturata (Alphéraky, 1892), and H. nepalensis (Plante, 1982) are redescribed; three newly discovered Central Asiatic species, H. mongoliensis sp. n.
