Simulation, analysis and comparison of field-oriented control and direct torque control

Abstract

This article is about the analysis and the comparison of field-oriented control and direct torque control for induction machine drives, based on simulation results. In the first section the principles of the two control methods are introduced. The second section is about the examination of the two methods based on simulation results. The third section summarizes the results, marks the possible applications of the two methods and determines the further research needs to be done
