Dynamics of change in rat arterial pressure under conditions of immobilization

Abstract
Emotional stress developed in immobilized rats was shown to be accompanied by changes in the regulation of arterial pressure and the frequency of cardiac contractions. A group of adapting rats displayed definite resistance to emotional stress, while a group of rats incapable of adapting to acute emotional stress died with characteristics of cardiovascular insufficiency.
