Up to the present there has been no coordinated presentation from which the influence of the constants essential for the performance of rotating-wing aircraft could be obtained in a systematic manner. The attempt at such a survey is made in the following, whereby nonessential factors, such as effect of blade form, blade profile, blade number, and blade twist on the performances are disregarded.
