Some Observations on Recent Developments in the Financial Sector in South East Asia

Abstract

The financial system in the South East Asian region during the last two decades has experienced radical changes, to a large extent, in response to changing domestic and external conditions. This paper discusses some of these evolutionary changes and the underlying factors that have led to these changes.
